About me
I was born in Lima, Peru. Since early childhood, I show great interest for the arts, making dozens of little figurines of clay on the top of my dresser. At the age of 16, I started my studies in the National Fine Arts School in Lima, Peru, in the specialties of Sculpture and Drawing, and spending my summers practicing painting in acrylic and oil.
I worked for 13 years in the preservation of the National Heritage of Peru having studied a post degree seminar in Conservation of Colonial Painting and Murals in the Inter American Center of Conservation and Restoration in the City of Cusco, having obtained the highest qualifications between 25 students from Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela. I have worked in the Peru-Spain Agreement for the Preservation of the National Heritage; in the Cathedral of Lima; the Peruvian Government Palace; the Presbitero Maestro Cementary in Lima; and in the National Museum in LIma, Peru, the Church of the Company of Jesus in Huamanga, Ayacucho and for several private collections.
I moved to San Francisco in 2002, having participated since then in many exhibitions. In 2013, I had an artist residence in Expressiones Cultural Center, a non-profit organization in the City of New London, Connecticut. I also love music, being a member of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus since 2007 untill 2014.
